Chromatic State II - Red
Created entirely in red, this monochromatic work extends the language of Reflections of the Soul into a more charged emotional landscape. Against a matte surface, glossy resin butterfly silhouettes emerge as reflective forms, capturing fragmented reflections of the viewer and folding personal presence into the composition.
From larger butterflies concentrated in the lower corner to smaller forms that gradually disperse upward—suggests movement, release, and distance. What begins with weight and intensity transitions into lightness, as if the soul were slowly lifting away from its point of origin.
Red functions here as a silent intensity —a color associated with vitality, endurance, and inner force. Through contrast, reflection, and restraint, the work speaks to transformation that arises from within, where strength does not announce itself, but ascends.
