I’ve always been fascinated by how something bigger can emerge from many small parts. Each piece in this series is made from individual butterflies that come together to create a larger form, reflecting on how our identities are shaped by memories, experiences, and the little moments that leave a lasting mark on who we become.
In The Waiting Door, the butterflies form a vertical doorway in monochromatic shades of blue. To me, the door represents the space between where we are and where we have yet to go—a moment of pause before something new begins. It invites us to consider the possibilities waiting on the other side, and how every small part of our journey brings us closer to what comes next.
