Part of the Rising Souls series, this monochromatic black miniature captures a flight of butterflies moving together across the canvas, all in the same direction. Their collective movement evokes a shared journey, reminding us how individual paths can align toward something beyond ourselves.
From the upper and lower corners, sculptural butterflies rise beyond the canvas, breaking its boundaries and extending into the space around it. Even in miniature, the work explores the desire to move beyond what contains us, suggesting that growth often begins when we dare to go further than the space we once knew.
